Lake Day on Lake Norman

I'm still in disbelief that this is the beginning of the first week in September. I'm in disbelief that school has started back and football is just around the corner, and I'm in even more disbelief that we only have 2 short months until we are officially a family of four. I love fall, and I love pumpkins, and I love football, but goodness gracious I feel like this summer has flown by at warp speed!

This past weekend we headed to my parents house and spend the day on Lake Norman for one last summer hoorah. My sister and brother in law were in town, my dad rented a pontoon, and we spent all day Saturday hanging out on the lake, swimming, and soaking in a little bit more of summer. I grew up spending every summer on that lake, and I didn't realize it until this weekend, but its been over ten years since I've been back on it. Growing up, we had a pontoon boat that we took out all the time and then in high school I was either out there with friends or working (I was a lifeguard on the lake- talk about amazing summer job!).  It's such an important part of my upbringing and childhood and so it was really fun to be back, and also a little crazy how much it has changed.

Landon of course loved the boat, loved the water, and had the best time ever. Have I mentioned how thankful I am that he loves swimming? He had a blast! My dad has a nifty little waterproof camera, so I was able to take some pictures of Landon even more in his element. Little fish, he is. :)
